On Board for BookBash 2026

November 11, 2025

Got the official word from the organizers today. I’ll be among the small army of indie authors and small press publishers on hand at BookBash 2026 next April. Formerly known as the Indie Author Bash, the annual event is hosted by Pretty Good Books in Ashtabula, OH, and fantasy author Chelsea Banning.

I’ll be there all afternoon and into the early evening (1pm to 7pm) with all of the Midnight Guardian books and several other titles from the Flinch Books back catalog, as well as anthologies from other publishers that have showcased my short stories and essays over the past several years.

Ramping up to its fourth year in 2026, the event has doubled in size since the 2025 gathering — which means the folks at Pretty Good Books are moving the Bash to a new and larger venue in Conneaut, OH, which is about as far into the northeast corner of the Buckeye State as one can go without stumbling over the state line into Pennsylvania.

Keep your eye on this space over the next few months for more details as we head into 2026. And if April comes along and you happen to be up in that little stretch along the southern shore of Lake Erie where Ohio and Pennsylvania meet, be sure to stop in, say hi, check out the festivities and grab a few good reads!
